LA Galaxy II (6-2-8, 26 points) return to StubHub Center for a rematch with Southern California rival Orange County Blues FC (6-6-3, 21 points). Tickets to the match start at $10 ($7.50 when fans purchase as part of LA Galaxy II’s new Mini Plan package) and fans in attendance will be treated to $2 tacos, $2 beer and free parking.

The two sides first met on April 8 when LA Galaxy II hosted the Blues at StubHub Center. Jose Villarreal opened the scoring in the 68th minute, but Los Dos allowed Didier Crettenand to level the match late.

Los Dos has never lost to the Blues at StubHub Center. LA Galaxy II is unbeaten in all five of the two clubs’ encounters (4-0-1). They’ve outscored Orange County 12-4 in contests at home.

LA enters the match fresh off a shutout victory over Tulsa Roughnecks FC. Adonis Amaya and Alejandro Covarrubias both scored their first goals of the 2016 season and goalkeeper Bennett Sneddon earned his first professional shutout. It was the Galaxy’s fifth shutout of the season. LA Galaxy II are now unbeaten in their last six games.

Orange County travels to StubHub Center after earning its first road win of the season in a 2-1 win over Rio Grande Valley FC. Two converted penalty kicks from Orange County’s Didier Crettenand secured all three points for the Blues.

LA (26 points) currently sits third in the USL Western Conference table behind Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC (26 points, 8 wins) and Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 (29 points). Orange County Blues FC is in 7th place.

LAST MATCH

LA Galaxy II 2 | Tulsa Roughnecks FC 0: Forward Adonis Amaya opened the scoring in the 6th minute when his tenacious hustle put him in the perfect spot to take advantage of a lazy header back to Tulsa Roughnecks goalkeeper Alex Mangels. Amaya slipped into the passing lane just before it got to Mangels’ hands and flicked the ball over the keeper for the game’s opening goal.

Just as they did in the first half, Los Dos wasted no time getting a goal when the second half started. LA pressure and possession put Jose Villarreal in a spot at the top of the box where he was able to earn a penalty kick for Los Dos on a hard body challenge from a Tulsa defender. Covarrubias took the penalty and successfully converted; it was his first goal of the season.

LA earned their fifth shutout of the year; it was goalkeeper Bennett Sneddon’s first professional shutout.

Rio Grande Valley FC 1 | Orange County Blues FC 2: After going down early, the OC Blues were able to earn a penalty before the half when forward Didier Crettenand was fouled in the box. Crettenand converted the penalty. The Blues were awarded another PK in the second half that would ultimately serve as the match-winner.
