LA Galaxy II (9-6-9, 36 points) will play a fourth consecutive road game on Wednesday, Aug. 31 at 7:30 p.m. PT when they take on Arizona United SC (8-11-6, 30 points) at Peoria Sports Complex in Peoria, Ariz. The match will be streamed live on www.lagalaxy.com/2.

LA Galaxy II are 2-0-0 against Arizona United SC in 2016, outscoring them 6-1 in both games combined. Ariel Lassiter netted a brace in LA’s 2-0 home shutout of Arizona in the team’s season opener back on March 26. The two sides met again in LA on May 28, when Ryo Fujii and Jack McBean both secured braces of their own in LA’s 4-1 victory.

Those are positive memories for a team looking to break its five-game winless streak. Los Dos are 0-4-1 in their last five outings and were shutout in three of those matches. The streak is their longest winless streak of the season, causing Los Dos to slip down to sixth in the USL Western Conference standings.

Their opponent, meanwhile, sits on the cusp of playoff inclusion. Sitting on 30 points with an 8-11-6 record, the team is just four points off the last playoff spot. Arizona is an even 4-4-4 at home on the season. Los Dos are 3-4-5 on the road.

Long Tan and Tyler Blackwood co-lead the team in goals with eight apiece; Tan scored the team’s only goal against LA this season. He’s also Arizona’s top assister (5).
