José L Vega was born Santa Ana, El Salvador. He started with the Galaxy in 1998, as a volunteer, in Pasadena giving out brochures of the event. Then the team moved to Carson and in 2003 Vega took over as the assistant coordinator with Raúl Vargas until 2007.
In 2008, Vega joined the San Jose Earthquakes and worked as the equipment manager for the first team. After 8 long years, he returned home to Los Angeles. On his return back with the Los Angeles Galaxy team in 2016, he started with the academy teams. In 2020, Vega once again joined the first team to work alongside Raul Vargas as assistant coordinator.
