The LA Galaxy are committed to supporting programs and non-profit organizations through event programming and community outreach initiatives, in hope of providing vital resources to at-risk Los Angeles communities while growing the game of soccer.


LA Galaxy Champion Project celebrated at Leapwood Avenue Elementary School

Over 250 students from Leapwood Avenue Elementary School celebrated the launch of The LA Galaxy Champion Project by participating in a schoolwide soccer clinic on Friday, April 26. The LA Galaxy Champion Project strives to inspire and celebrate champions within the Los Angeles community by partnering with eleven local elementary schools – reaching over 5,000 youth – within a five-mile radius of Dignity Health Sports Park. This program aims to grow the game through soccer programming and leadership development opportunities while promoting health and wellness. FULL STORY

LA Galaxy launch Community Clinic Series with A Place Called Home

LA Galaxy launched their LA Galaxy Community Clinic Series at A Place Called Home on Wednesday, April 24th. A Place Called Home (APCH) is a non-profit organization that offers a place for young people to experience joy, laughter, and safety in the local Los Angeles community. LA Galaxy camp and clinic coaches hosted a 90-minute soccer clinic for the 130-youth participating in APCH’s afterschool programming. FULL STORY

LA Galaxy Women's Leadership Series: Women & Men at Work - Celebrating Male Allies & Advocates

In partnership with WISE Los Angeles and Dignity Health Sports Park, the LA Galaxy hosted a Women & Men at Work: Celebrating Male Allies & Advocates event at Palihouse on Thursday, April 25th in continuation of the LA Galaxy Women’s Leadership Series. This member only event featured Katie Pandolfo, General Manager of Dignity Health Sports Park (DHSP), and Chris Klein, LA Galaxy President, and special guest Rachana Bhide for an evening of strategy-building and storytelling about the importance of male allies in the collaboration and development of female career advancement. FULL STORY


LA Galaxy supports A Place Called Home's annual Cinderella and Prince Charming Project

On Friday, April 5, LA Galaxy assisted with A Place Called Home’s annual Cinderella and Prince Charming Project. A Place Called Home is a non-profit organization that provides youth in Los Angeles with a safe place to develop healthy, fulfilling and purposeful lives. Every spring, the Cinderella and Prince Charming Project provides 1,200 Los Angeles teenagers the opportunity to receive formal-attire for homecoming, prom, and graduation.  FULL STORY

LA Galaxy Foundation host Wilshire Crest Elementary for Protect the Pitch field trip

On Thursday, Feb. 21, the LA Galaxy Foundation welcomed 50 students from Wilshire Crest Elementary School on a field trip to the newly renamed Dignity Health Sports Park. LA Galaxy Foundation host students from 24th Street School for a Protect the Pitch Field Trip

On November 29, the LA Galaxy Foundation welcomed 50 second and third graders from 24th Street School for a field trip to the StubHub Center as the latest installment of the "Protect the Pitch" initiative. The students toured the LA Galaxy locker rooms and event suites, as well as the Galaxy Garden. Students also learned how to make a healthy broccoli and carrot slaw for lunch. FULL STORY

LA Galaxy (Thanks)Giving help out with "FryDay" at Union Rescue Mission

On Friday, November 16th, over 30 members of LA Galaxy Front Office and Supporters volunteered at Union Rescue Mission’s “FryDay” providing a Thanksgiving meal for over 3,000 people from the Skid Row area. Volunteers were tasked with frying over 500 turkeys throughout the day as well as carving the crispy birds to be served at the feast on Saturday. FULL STORY

On Friday, October 26, the LA Galaxy Foundation participated in the 12th Annual Treats-N-Suites Halloween Bash hosted by the StubHub Center Foundation. Local kids ages 2 to 11-years-old were able to trick-or-treat through suites decorated by the LA Galaxy Foundation, LA Galaxy Girls' and Boy's Academies, Los Angeles Kings, Los Angeles Lakers and StubHub Center. FULL STORY

The 2018 LA Galaxy Special Olympics Southern California Unified season came to a close on Sunday, October 28, culminating with the opportunity to meet Galaxy players on the field following their season finale match and receive a game-worn jersey. The LA Galaxy Foundation continued its mission to educate local youth about their sustainability efforts when 50 4th and 5th graders from Aldama Elementary School took a field trip to StubHub Center on Thursday, October 25. LA Galaxy Foundation host first ever High School Girls’ Summit with SNHU

The LA Galaxy Foundation welcomed over 100 high school female athletes to attend the inaugural LA Galaxy High School Girl’s Summit presented by Southern New Hampshire University at StubHub Center on Saturday, October 13th. Partnering with Southern New Hampshire University, this free event invited female athletes from local school districts and at-risk communities for brunch and the opportunity to meet with former collegiate athletes and female executives from the Los Angeles sport and entertainment industry. FULL STORY

LA Galaxy Foundation help Kick Childhood Cancer with Gift of Life partnership

The LA Galaxy Foundation worked with Gift of Life Marrow Registry throughout September to raised awareness for childhood cancer in conjunction with MLS WORKS annual initiative, Kick Childhood Cancer. Together, LA Galaxy and Gift of Life facilitated a first-time meeting between a cancer survivor and his marrow donor, team practices with childhood cancer patients and Kick Blood Cancer drives. FULL STORY

On August 30th, the LA Galaxy Foundation hosted their second annual Shoes That Fit event at Catskill Avenue Elementary School. Shoes That Fit is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping kids improve their self-esteem by providing low-income youth with a pair of shoes so they can go to school in comfort and focus on their studies instead of their circumstances. FULL STORY

Saturday, August 18th marked the Inaugural Street Soccer USA Cup - Los Angeles, presented by the LA Galaxy Foundation, at Microsoft Square in L.A. LIVE. Featuring over 30 futsal teams, the Street Soccer USA Cup - Los Angeles showcased the dynamic culture connecting soccer and the people of Los Angeles. LA Galaxy Golf Tournament presented by San Manuel Casino funds LA Galaxy Foundation's 10th mini pitch

After a three year hiatus, the LA Galaxy Golf Tournament was back and better than ever! The tournament was hosted at beautiful Pelican Hill Golf Club on June 12th 2018 and presented by generous sponsor, San Manuel Casino. Galaxy Giving: Meal of Love at Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House

In continuing support of the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House, LA Galaxy midfielder Chris Pontius joined LA Galaxy staff and the LA Galaxy Star Squad cooked and served a BBQ dinner to 80 Los Angeles house residents as part of the LA Galaxy Foundation’s Galaxy Giving initiative. This summer celebration included arts and crafts and a 3v3 soccer game with LA Galaxy Star Squad. House residents were invited to come watch the Galaxy’s game on May 30 against FC Dallas.
