Gyasi Zardes and the rest of the U.S. National Team could be joined by American wunderkind Christian Pulisic for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Guatemala.
The 17-year-old Borussia Dortmund midfielder was called into the USMNT squad for their matches against Guatemala but had to pull out due to illness. Numerous reports have stated, however, that Pulisic could join the USMNT for their rubber match against the Central American nation on March 26.
“Christian Pulisic had to cancel his trip to the US national team because of an infection," Dortmund said in a statement. "The 17-year-old does, however, hope that he can join the national team at a slightly later stage. The US team is playing against Guatemala."
