MONTREAL – LA Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena spoke with LAGalaxy.com following the Galaxy’s training session in Montreal ahead of their clash with the Montreal Impact on Sunday.
Arena’s thoughts are below.
(On how his team has recovered from the long travel…)
"The travel is always difficult in this league. We had a good flight out here on Thursday and we had a good chance to get a bit of rest yesterday and today, so hopefully by tomorrow at kick-off, we're ready to go."
(On his team’s mindset heading into Saturday…)
"We're here to win the game. We're preparing to win the game. I think this group is ready, so we'll see at kick off."
(On his impression of the Montreal Impact…)
"If [Didier] Drogba plays, they have arguably the best striker in the league. [Ignacio] Piatti has been terrific this year with seven goals. Those are two of the best attacking players in the league and [Dominic] Oduro gives them a lot of speed out wide. The attacking threat is certainly there, but we know that they're missing a few players with international call-ups as are we. It'll be interesting to see how the two teams play tomorrow."
