We all know Cozmo is a pretty cool mascot and it looks like people agree. Our favorite alien has advanced to the elite group of eight of MLSsoccer.com's Mascot Mania bracket!
Last week we announced that Cozmo was in the running for the prestigious competitionwith a “play-in round” to determine which teams’ official mascots would make it to our first bracket of eight. (The group didn’t start with a bracket of 16, because there are only 15 official mascots among the league’s 20 teams, and two of those are from the Colorado Rapids.)
Here’s a list of all eight mascots who survived this round, and will continue on to our bracket on Thursday, Mar. 24. They’re listed in order of most to least votes:
Kingston (Orlando City SC)
Timber Joey (Portland Timbers)
Q (San Jose Earthquakes)
Dynamo Diesel (Houston Dynamo)
RapidMan (Colorado Rapids)
Cozmo (LA Galaxy)
Edson (Colorado Rapids)
Slyde (New England Revolution)
….Yep, both Colorado Rapids mascots survived.
