FC Barcelona striker Luis Suarez did not get the type of Liverpool FC farewell  that he may have liked but the star Uruguayan forward will have the unique chance to take on the former LFC legend and beloved former teammate Steven Gerrard in Tuesday's friendly between the LA Galaxy and Barcelona.

The two men who helped create an incredible offensive force at Liverpool will face one another for the very first time in the International Champions Cup fixture at the Rose Bowl on Tuesday. During their time together at Anfield, Gerrard proved to be the perfect midfield complement for Suarez as his play helped the striker blossom into a player considered by many to be one of the world's best

For Suarez, the chance to lineup against the man that he called the "best teammate ever" will be a tremendous occasion.

“I have said it several times, for me; he’s the best teammate I’ve ever had for everything he’s done for me on and off the field," Suarez said. "I don’t have enough words to thank him for everything he means to me. Given the history he has at Liverpool and not being able to play one last game together, but now having the opportunity to play against him will be something special.”
