Former LA Galaxy defender Omar Gonzalez is heading to the Liga MX final in his first season with Pachuca.
Gonzalez and the Tuzos needed extra time to secure a 3-2 aggregate win over Club Leon on Sunday evening in Pachuca. The 27-year-old started the match and aided in the buildup of the eventual series-clinching goal that sent Pachuca to their first Liga MX final in two years.
Gonzalez and Pachuca will now face C.F. Monterrey in the Liga MX final. The first leg of the Liga MX final will take place in Pachuca on Thursday.
