CARSON, Calif. -- Major League Soccer's Disciplinary Committee fined LA Galaxy players Jelle Van Damme and Giovani dos Santos an undisclosed amount for being in violation of the league's mass confrontation policy during Los Angeles' draw with Sporting KC.
The committee ruled that in the 70th minute, the two players escalated the incident following referee Chris Penso's ejection of defender Ashley Cole's from the Galaxy's 1-1 draw last Sunday.
