Giovani dos Santos excited to work with new LA Galaxy head coach Curt Onalfo | INSIDER

CARSON, Calif. -- Giovani dos Santos is ready to get to work under new LA Galaxy head coach Curt Onalfo.

Speaking to Deportes Total USA before receiving the MLS Player of the Year award at the Premios Univision Deportes ceremony in Miami, Dos Santos declared his excitement to play with the new Galaxy boss. Onalfo was appointed last week to the post replacing former head coach and general manager Bruce Arena, who left in late November to take over the U.S. head coaching position.

"Bruce Arena was very important to our club,” Dos Santos said. “But now there's a new coach who is younger and is filled with hunger and we look forward to him getting the most out of every player.”

Dos Santos enjoyed a banner campaign in 2016 with 16 goals and 14 assists in 36 appearances in all competitions. The 27-year-old Mexican international’s efforts saw him awarded with an MLS Best XI selection and the LA Galaxy’s Player of the Year award.
