Giovani dos Santos is aiming to return to the Mexican national team ahead of what promises to be a busy year for El Tri.
Speaking the reporters at the league's Media and Marketing Tour in Southern California on Tuesday, the 26-year-old confirmed that he has had discussions with Mexican national team head coach Juan Carlos Osorio about a return to the squad.
“I spoke with him yesterday, it's true that we spoke, It's a conversation between the both of us. I can tell that he is a very educated person," Dos Santos said to the assembled media. "By working hard and sacrificing, I think I'll get my call."
Mexico will take part in multiple competitions this year including the 2016 Copa America Centenario, 2016 Olympics, and 2018 CONCACAF World Cup qualifying.
