A year after collaborating with the LA Galaxy, Los Angeles sports lifestyle brand UNDEFEATED (UNDFTD) has collaborated with Major League Soccer on an exclusive set of headwear to celebrate MLS' 20th anniversary season.
Whereas last year's designs centered around just the Galaxy, Undefeated fashioned headwear for more than half of the league's clubs in their signature colors. Blending Undefeated's signature minimalist style with the color and signature details for every team, Undefeated have created a series of hats that uniquely celebrates each club.
In an interview with MLSsoccer.com, Undefeated designer James Bond described his inspiration behind the caps.
"Doing the hats in my mind was pretty simple, where the graphic really is the color palette. Then we added the little hit of the 20th anniversary embroidery with the two Xs in silver stitching," Bond said. "We kept it with a little bit of a street wear vibe, but we wanted to keep the color palette to be the graphic, so we did everything tonal and it matches up quite nicely with any jersey you’d have from the team."
