The kid who sang the national anthem at the first Galaxy game will be back for #GalaxyThrowback Night

CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy will hold #GalaxyThrowBack Night on Thursday and many of the faces who have made the club great during their 21-year history will return including the anthem singer from the Galaxy’s first match back in 1996.

Blake McIver Ewingof Little Rascals and Full House fame sang the anthem at the Rose Bowl for the Galaxy’s inaugural match against New York/New Jersey MetroStars on April 13, 1996. The then 11-year-old McIver Ewing delivered a stirring rendition to more than 70,000 in attendance for the Galaxy’s eventual 2-1 win over New York.


McIver Ewing will be returning Thursday to sing the anthem for the Galaxy’s clash with Sporting Kansas City. The 31-year-old actor and singer has enjoyed a successful career and is currently the star of the People’s Couch on Bravo.
