The LA Galaxy Academy U-14s, who are competing in Portugal in the 2023 Portimão International Cup, went 4-1-1 in six group stage matches in Group A to advance to the knockout round of the tournament as group winners.
Notably, the LA Galaxy Academy U-14s earned a 2-0 win over FC Nõmme United (Estonia), defeated SBV Excelsior Rotterdam (Netherlands) 1-0, claimed a 2-1 victory against Liverpool FC (England), drew Progress Cantera (Netherlands) 0-0 and dealt Portimonense S.C. (Portugual) a 1-0 defeat in their final match in group play.
Next up, the LA Galaxy Academy square off against Shamrock Rovers (Ireland) in a Quarterfinal Round match in the Portimão International Cup on Sunday, Nov. 5.
