LA Galaxy Announce Programming Details for Home Match Against Chicago Fire FC on Saturday, Aug. 26

LOS ANGELES (Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2023) – The LA Galaxy today announced programming details for their home match against Chicago Fire FC, presented by Fiji Airways, at Dignity Health Sports Park on Saturday, Aug. 26 (7:30 p.m. PT; MLS Season Pass on Apple TVLA Galaxy RadioLA Galaxy Spanish Radio).

Fifteen thousand bags of tortilla chips will be given away to fans as they leave Dignity Health Sports Park courtesy of Siete. **

Merchandise**
New Mitchell & Ness inventory has landed in the LA Galaxy Team Store. The new drop includes the LA Galaxy Retro Crewneck Color Block Sweatshirt, the LA Galaxy Retro Nylon Windbreaker and the LA Galaxy Blue, White & Gold ’90s Vibe’N short sleeve hooded pullover. Cozmo’s Closet is back and there are specials. Fans can snag $20 Tees, $50 sweatshirts and hoodies and $80 jackets and premium styles. Cozmo’s Closet specials will run exclusively at the West Tent location and the Legends Plaza store while supplies last. Fans can also shop the LA Galaxy Merchandise Truck while they tailgate at the NW Plaza outside the NW stadium gate

SoccerFestCozmo’s Cadets, LA Galaxy Programming and the LA Galaxy Ticketing booth will have their usual booths at SoccerFest, with Special Olympics Southern California, Fiji Airways, the LA Times and Continental Tire also in attendance.

LA Galaxy Special Olympics Unified Team
The LA Galaxy Special Olympics Unified team will face off against the Chicago Fire Special Olympics Unified squad following the first-team match. The competition will feature two 25-minute halves, and all fans in the building are invited to stay and cheer on the Galaxy’s Special Olympics Unified athletes.

LA Galaxy Foundation
The LA Galaxy Foundation be auctioning off a team-signed "A Summer in LA" skate deck during the match on Saturday. The online auction will open at 3:30 p.m. PT on matchday and will close at the 75th minute of the match. Fans can text GALAXY to 76278 to bid. The “A Summer in LA” skate decks will be available for purchase by the public on Sunday, Sept.10. The 2023 LA Galaxy Special Olympics Unified Team will have a booth at SoccerFest and will give away their photocards and sign autographs.

The Hero of the Match is United States Army Sergeant Araceli Talavera, who has been awarded the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. Against Chicago, the Galaxy hold a 22-15-8 record in league play, a 1-3-0 record in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup and a 2-2-1 record in the MLS Cup Playoffs. In 22 all-time regular-season matches played at home against the Fire, the Galaxy hold a record of 12-6-4. Notably, in 12 regular-season matches played against Chicago dating back to Sept. 4, 2010, LA holds an unbeaten record of 7-0-5. In the last meeting between the Galaxy and Chicago, the two teams played to a scoreless draw at Soldier Field on April 16, 2022.
