LOS ANGELES (Tuesday, April 11, 2023) – The LA Galaxy today announced programming details for their home match against LAFC, in a match presented by Universal Studios Hollywood, at Dignity Health Sports Park on Sunday, April 16 (1:30 p.m. PT; FOX and FOX Deportes; MLS Season Pass on Apple TV; LA Galaxy Radio, LA Galaxy Spanish Radio).
Giveaway
The first 20,000 fans in the stadium will receive “Our LA. Our Galaxy” thunder sticks.
SoccerFest
Alumni autographs return at SoccerFest, with former LA Galaxy players Brian Rowe, Danny Pena, Isaias Bardales Jr., Bryan Jordan, McKinley Tennyson and Charlie Rugg on hand to greet fans. The first 1,000 fans at SoccerFest will receive a free, limited-edition “Our LA. Our Galaxy” t-shirt. SoccerFest mainstays LA Galaxy Foundation, Cozmo’s Cadets and LA Galaxy Programming will be present. This game’s Community Partner is AYUDAR Foundation. Stop by the AYUDAR Foundation Booth in SoccerFest to learn more about how they help LA County youth and their families through programs, services, and community building.
Game Presentation
The National Anthem will be performed by Ozella, who was born and raised in Santa Barbara, Calif. She started singing when she was a young child in church and now gives singing and piano lessons to students who need the extra support in Santa Barbara County.
LA Galaxy Foundation
The LA Galaxy Foundation will auction off a 2011 LA Galaxy third kit, which will be team-signed and framed. Additionally, limited-edition matchday posters signed by LA Galaxy first-team players will also be available to bid on. The LA Galaxy Foundation will host their online auction on matchday with fans being able to text GALAXY to 76278 to bid. The auction will open at 9:30 a.m. PT on Sunday, April 16 and will close at the 75th minute of the match.
Merchandise
The LA Galaxy Merchandise Truck will be located outside the North West gate for fans to grab their gear before heading into the stadium. The LA Galaxy Merchandise Truck and the LA Galaxy Team Store at Legends Plaza will open at 9:30 a.m. PT on matchday. The City of Dreams Kit and the LA Kit will be available throughout the year, and the LA Kit Hook Collection continues to introduce new items into the mix. The collection features Green, Gold and Red tees, hoodies, hats and grey pullovers. The new fan-favorite jackets are still stocked from the Wild Collective and Mitchell & Ness lines.

Sunday’s home match between the LA Galaxy and LAFC at Dignity Health Sports Park marks the 18th meeting across all competitions between the two clubs, with the Galaxy leading the all-time series 7-5-5. Notably, the Galaxy are unbeaten in nine matches played across all competitions at home against LAFC (7-0-2, 21 GF, 11 GA). In four matches played across all competitions between the Galaxy and LAFC during the 2022 campaign, the series was tied 2-2-0. Javier “Chicharito” Hernández has tallied two goals and two assists in four career regular-season matches played against LAFC. In six career matches played (2 starts) across all competitions against LAFC, Dejan Joveljić has recorded four goals.
