LOS ANGELES (Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2023) – The LA Galaxy today announced programming details for their home match against Real Salt Lake on LA Night, presented by Sherwin-Wiliams, at Dignity Health Sports Park on Sunday, Aug. 20 (7:30 p.m. PT; MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, LA Galaxy Radio, LA Galaxy Spanish Radio).

The first 10,000 fans to arrive at Dignity Health Sports Park will receive a Sigi Schmid scarf as they enter the gates.
Honoring Sigi Schmid
A special halftime recognition in honor of Sigi Schmid will take place as the club will induct the former head coach of the LA Galaxy into the Ring of Honor at Dignity Health Sports Park.

SoccerFestFans will be able to receive Alumni Autographs in SoccerFest from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. PT from alumni who all played under Sigi Schmid – Ezra Henrickson, Danny Califf, McKinley Tennyson, Matt Reis and Adam Frye. The LA Galaxy have partnered with Sherwin-Williams and local artist Marlene Solorio on a special “Celebration of Los Angeles” mural for Galaxy Park. Fans will get a chance to see a sneak peak of the artwork in SoccerFest on Sunday. Cozmo’s Cadets, the LA Galaxy Foundation and LA Galaxy Programming will have their usual booths at SoccerFest, with newcomers Motel 6, Modelo and O’Reilly Auto Parts also in attendance.
LA Galaxy Foundation
The LA Galaxy and DGK have partnered for their fifth skateboard collaboration – “A Summer in LA” skate deck, which will go live to the public exclusively at the LA Galaxy Foundation booth on Sunday, Aug. 20. The deck will be limited to 125 units and will be on sale for $85, with proceeds benefitting the LA Galaxy Foundation and DGK's Saved by Skateboarding Foundation. The Community Partner of the Match, Long Beach United, will be at SoccerFest. Fans can learn more about Long Beach United at their booth in SoccerFest. The Hero of the Match is World War II veteran radioman, First Class William Dillon of the United States Navy. He served on the USS Sailfish SS-192 and earned several awards which include two bronze stars, the Presidential Unit Citation and the World War II Victory Medal.

Sunday’s MLS Regular Season match between the LA Galaxy and Real Salt Lake marks the 58th all-time meeting across all competitions between the two teams, with LA leading the all-time series 24-20-13. Against RSL, the Galaxy hold a 20-17-11 record in league play, a 4-1-2 record in the MLS Cup Playoffs and a 0-2-0 record in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. In the last meeting against Real Salt Lake, the Galaxy fell 3-2 on the road in the Quarterfinal Round of the 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup at America First Field on June 7. In 24 regular-season match played at home against Real Salt Lake, the Galaxy hold a 14-7-3 record. Notably, LA is unbeaten in its last six home matches played against RSL (4-0-2; 10 GF, 4 GA) dating back to Sept. 30, 2017.
