CARSON, Calif. -- The LA Galaxy are on the rise in three notable MLS power rankings after their 4-1 win over the Houston Dynamo last week.

The Galaxy's highest ranking came from SI.com who placed the team fourth while MLSsoccer.com and ESPN FC ranked Los Angeles seventh and ninth respectively.

The rankings and the explanations can be found below:

SI.com: 4th

"The Galaxy may have conceded early to the Dynamo, but what followed bodes well for Bruce Arena’s team. Not only did it capitalize on mistakes to re-take the lead, but it was L.A.’s stars, particularly two-goal Giovani Dos Santos, who did the capitalizing."

MLSsoccer.com: 7th

"Can Gio do this every week? He has a few more weeks without the presence of Robbie Keane to show that he can be a highly-productive player in MLS."

ESPN FC: 9th

"Getting Giovani Dos Santos off the mark has to feel good for Bruce Arena, who needed a good performance from his team to offset all of the negative publicity surrounding Nigel de Jong's suspension."
