CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016) – The LA Galaxy announced today that Herbalife Nutrition will be the featured logo on the new LA Galaxy primary and secondary jerseys worn in all official club competitions. The LA Galaxy and Herbalife, the Galaxy’s official and exclusive nutrition and jersey partner, are in year 10 of a record sponsorship deal that began in 2007. The LA Galaxy are scheduled to debut their new 2016 primary kits on Wednesday, Feb. 24, in a quarterfinal match at StubHub Center against Santos Laguna in the 2015-16 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League.

Herbalife Nutrition will now also be featured on all LA Galaxy training gear for staff and players. In addition, Herbalife will remain the Galaxy’s official and exclusive nutrition partner, with the entire line of Herbalife products available to the club’s players and coaching staff.
In 2005, Herbalife became the official nutrition company of the LA Galaxy. In 2007, it became the official jersey and presenting sponsor of the LA Galaxy and in 2012, the Galaxy signed a record 10-year extension to the original agreement that will run through the 2022 MLS season, marking the largest and longest sponsorship agreement in MLS club and League history.

Herbalife also supports the LA Galaxy’s community efforts, with $2.5 million given to support the LA Galaxy Foundation. Herbalife and the LA Galaxy have teamed up in numerous community-driven efforts, including benefitting the Children’s Institute, Inc. (CII), serving at various Casa Herbalife locations throughout Central and South America, and hosting multiple youth clinic initiatives in the Los Angeles area in recent years.
The LA Galaxy will celebrate the launch of the club’s new 2016 primary kit and 2016 marketing campaign this week with a series of events at the This is LA Pop-Up Shop at BLENDS (725 S. Los Angeles St.) in Downtown Los Angeles. The Galaxy will host a Supporters’ Happy Hour on Friday, Feb. 5, from 4-7 p.m. PT that will feature new 2016 Galaxy gear, including the new primary jersey, available for purchase. On Saturday, Feb. 6, fans can meet Robbie Keane, Giovani dos Santos, and Steven Gerrard for autograph and picture opportunities from 2-5 p.m. PT. The jersey will be officially unveiled this Thursday, Feb. 4.
The Galaxy will kick off the 2016 MLS Regular Season at StubHub Center on Sunday, March 6, against D.C. United (7 p.m. PT, UniMás).
