CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy fell once more in the MLS Power Rankings after their winless streak was extended to eight games last weekend.

The Galaxy dropped their second straight loss of the Sigi Schmid era on Saturday when they were defeated 2-0 by New York City FC. Los Angeles finds themselves in ninth place in the Western Conference, nine spots out of a playoff berth and will enjoy a bye week before facing Columbus Crew SC on Aug. 23.

The three MLS Power Rankings can be found below:

ESPN FC: 19 (-4)

"The home woes continue for L.A. under Sigi Schmid in a 2-0 loss to NYCFC. Whatever ails the Galaxy doesn't look easy to fix."

MLSsoccer.com: 20 (0)

"If you've been an MLS fan for years, it is just simply shocking to see a Galaxy team with such a poor home record in a stadium where they've been absolutely dominant over the years."

"The Galaxy’s home form continues to disappoint mightily. Saturday’s 2–0 loss to NYCFC is the club’s seventh of the season at home, a staggering number considering that the Galaxy only lost six games at home in the previous four seasons combined. Sigi Schmid must work some magic to get LA back to its former glory."
