Robbie Keane will need a little more space on his mantle.
The LA Galaxy forward was awarded the 2014 Volkswagen MLS Cup MVP, after scoring the game-winning goal in added extra time to defeat the New England Revolution 2-1 at StubHub Center on Sunday.
Keane, who also won the 2014 Volkswagen MLS regular season MVP award and was named to the MLS Best XI this season for the third straight year, won his third MLS Cup in four seasons. The MLS Cup MVP award was the first of his career in MLS.
He becomes the fifth Galaxy player win the MLS Cup MVP award, joining current teammates Omar Gonzalez (2012) and Landon Donovan (2011) and former players Guillermo Ramirez (2005) and Carlos Ruiz (2002).
