STANFORD, Calif. -- LA Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena spoke to reporters after the Galaxy's 1-1 draw with San Jose Earthquakes.

"I think if the officials look at the last 15 minutes of that game they’d be very disappointed in the performance. That was a poor display in the last 15 minutes.”
On how Steven Gerrard performed:
“Gerrard played well, had a very good second half.”
On if it was a tactical decision to play on the left side in the second half:
“No. We’re not going one side or the other. We’re reacting to what’s going on at the time.”
On what it means to break their scoreless streak:
“We had a scoreless streak? I didn’t even know. I think we’ll have a party then tonight. We’re going to score goals, believe me.”
On if he was surprised that the fans were chanting homophobic slurs:
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. I didn’t hear it.”
On if they’re going to appeal the red card on Ashley Cole:
“I would think so. I think it was a very poor call and that whole thing was poorly done so I would anticipate we would do that.”
