On Thursday, June 20th, the LA Galaxy Foundation hosted a community clinic at 109th Street Recreation Center mini-pitch for youth varying in ages from five to fourteen.

The clinic kicked off with Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) providing ways for the youth to positively encourage and motivate their peers through various interactive activities. Activities included partnering up with a peer to create a handshake, sharing respectful compliments and playing rock, paper, scissors.

The positive environment continued into the soccer clinic where youth sharpened their soccer skills by rotating between passing, shooting, and ball control stations.

Throughout the clinic, LA Galaxy Star Squad handed out keychains, stickers and pens while interacting with families from the Watts Community. In efforts to encourage soccer programming all year long, the LA Galaxy Foundation left behind LA Galaxy soccer balls for the youth at 109th Recreation Center.
