LA Galaxy host D.C. United and Columbus Crew SC in busy week at StubHub Center | Weekly Schedule

LOS ANGELES (Monday, July 2, 2018) – The LA Galaxy (6-7-3, 21 points) are back home this week to host two MLS Regular Season matches. On Independence Day, the Galaxy will face D.C. United at 7:30 p.m. PT (Spectrum SportsNet and Spectrum Deportes). It will mark the 23^rd straight Fourth of July game hosted by the LA Galaxy.

This weekend, the Galaxy will host Columbus Crew SC at 7:30 p.m. PT on Saturday, July 7 (Spectrum SportsNet and Spectrum Deportes).

All-time the LA Galaxy are 20-14-10 against D.C. United, going 11-5-5 against them at home. In their only meeting of 2017, the sides drew 0-0 at RFK Stadium. LA defeated D.C. 4-1 in their last visit to StubHub Center, the Galaxy’s 2016 Home Opener.

Gyasi Zardes will make his return to StubHub Center when the LA Galaxy host the Columbus Crew on Saturday. The Galaxy are 15-17-10 against Crew SC all-time. In their one matchup last year, the Galaxy fell 2-0 to Columbus at MAPFRE Stadium. Ola Kamara scored the game-winning goal in that match.

Over the weekend, the Galaxy tied 3-3 with San Jose Earthquakes in the second edition of the Cali Clásico this season. Zlatan Ibrahimović recorded a brace while Romain Alessandrini added a goal of his own. Ibrahimović is tied for sixth in MLS i goals scored, and is the only player in the top 10 to average at least one goal per game.
