LA Galaxy to host first Clinic Series event of 2011

Clinic Series Provides Free Professional Coaching To Underserved Kids in Southern California

CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, March 22, 2011) – The LA Galaxy will be hosting a season-long monthly Clinic Series to benefit underserved youth in Southern California. The Galaxy Clinic Series is returning for another year in 2011 with support from corporate partners La Curacao, adidas, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Farmer John and Herbalife. The first Galaxy Clinic will be held at Villa-Parke Community Center Soccer Field on Wednesday, March 23 in Pasadena, Calif.

Through the Clinic Series, the Galaxy aim to fulfill their commitment to the local community by creating health and recreational activities and programs for underserved children. The clinic series provides participants, ages 8-14, the opportunity to strengthen their soccer skills through drills that test their coordination, speed and ball handling.

In addition to the professional instruction participants receive from Galaxy Clinic coaches, LA Galaxy midfielder Bryan Jordan will provide on field support at Wednesday’s clinic.
