LA Galaxy Midfielder Efraín Álvarez Added to Mexican National Team Roster for Match Against U.S. Men’s National Team on Wednesday, April 19

LOS ANGELES (Monday, April 17, 2023) – LA Galaxy midfielder Efraín Álvarez has been added to the Mexican National Team roster ahead of an international friendly against the United States Men’s National Team at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., on Wednesday, April 19 (7:00 p.m. PT; TBS, Telemundo, Universo, HBO Max, Peacock).

Álvarez, 20, has made four appearances for the Mexican National Team since making his debut on March 30, 2021. The Los Angeles, Calif., native has tallied eight goals and 16 assists in 96 games played (46 starts) across all competitions for the LA Galaxy. In 89 MLS regular-season appearances (41 starts) for LA, Álvarez has recorded six goals and 15 assists. During the 2023 campaign, Álvarez has registered one assist in five regular-season appearances (3 starts) for the Galaxy.
