CARSON, Calif. (Wednesday, July 13, 2016) – The MLS Disciplinary Committee has suspended LA Galaxy midfielder Nigel de Jong one additional match and issued an undisclosed fine for his foul in the 74th minute of LA’s match against Vancouver Whitecaps FC at StubHub Center on July 4.
De Jong, who originally received a red card for the play, served the first game of his suspension on July 9 against Seattle Sounders FC and will serve the second game of his suspension on Friday, July 15 against the Houston Dynamo.
The Galaxy will host their Western Conference counterparts at StubHub Center this Friday, July 15, at 8 p.m. PT live on UniMás.
