CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy moved up in two of the three most prominent MLS Power Rankings after their 1-0 victory over the Houston Dynamo.

The Galaxy are undefeated in six matches and have won four consecutive league games. After their win over the Dynamo, the Galaxy moved up to second in SI.com’s rankings, while ESPN FC and MLSsoccer.com placed Los Angeles in third place.

The explanations for all three sites are below:

SI.com: 2nd

"The Galaxy went 3–1–2 in its games since the break, with Saturday’s 1–0 win over Houston being the third win in a row. The Galaxy’s already-stingy defense has been especially so lately, with each of their three wins coming via shutout. Robbie Keane has been in great form since returning from Euro 2016, and Bruce Arena’s team seems poised to make one of its trademark late-season runs heading into the playoffs."

ESPN FC: 3rd

"Back-to-back 1-0 wins are hardly attractive enough to make anyone take notice, but if L.A. strings together enough of them, everyone certainly will. That would suit Bruce Arena just fine."

MLSsoccer.com: 3rd

"LA can't really crack the discussion for the top spot just yet, but their third straight win solidified them at No. 3 overall, and they have by far the best goal differential in the league. Steven Gerrard has been excellent since Bruce Arena moved him into a pure attacking midfield role."
