CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy remain near the top of the three highest profile MLS power rankings.
The Galaxy extended their unbeaten run to seven games on Sunday when they earned a 1-1 draw with Seattle Sounders FC on the road. Los Angeles are second in MLSsoccer.com and SI.com’s rankings, but fell to fourth in ESPN FC’s list.
The explanations for the Galaxy’s power rankings are below:
“Over the past two months, they've played nine games, scored just eight goals and lost only once (4-1-4). Bet against them at your peril.”
“Yet another professional, positive performance from Bruce Arena’s side, which is a sentence it feels like I type every single week at this point. The Galaxy haven’t lost in seven games, and have only allowed three goals in that span. The team wasn’t at its absolute best against the Sounders on Sunday, but capitalized on a Seattle mistake to earn a valuable away draw.”
“Thoroughly outplayed in Seattle, L.A. can thank their depth for turning another loss into a point on the road. Sebastian Lletget isn't a starter, but he remains important.”
