LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Monday, Oct. 10, 2016) – With just two games remaining in the 2016 MLS Regular Season, the LA Galaxy (11-6-14, 47 points) will travel for a match this Sunday, Oct. 16 when they face the Houston Dynamo live on Spectrum SportsNet and Spectrum Deportes.
All time, the Galaxy are 9-9-5 against the Houston Dynamo in regular season play, including 4-6-2 in matches played on the road. Sunday will mark the team’s third contest against Houston this year, with the Galaxy going 2-0-0 in their previous two games, including a 4-1 victory at BBVA Compass Field on April 15.
The LA Galaxy have clinched a berth in the 2016 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs, which will be begin on Wednesday, Oct. 26 or Thursday, Oct. 27 following the close of regular-season play on Sunday, Oct. 23 when the Galaxy host FC Dallas at StubHub Center. The LA Galaxy are currently 11-6-15 with 48 points on the season, placing them in third place in MLS Western Conference standings. The Galaxy have qualified for MLS Cup playoffs in 18 of the club’s 21 seasons, earning an all-time record of 41-21-7 while winning a record five MLS Cup trophies.
