LA Galaxy return to MLS action Saturday when they host Montreal Impact | Weekly Schedule

CARSON, Calif. (Monday, Sept. 7, 2015) – The LA Galaxy will return to MLS action this week when they host the Montreal Impact on Saturday, Sept. 12, at StubHub Center (7:30 p.m. PT, Time Warner Cable SportsNet/Time Warner Cable Deportes). LA Galaxy II will enter a bye week of USL play.

The Galaxy are 1-0-2 against Montreal in the three matches played all time, scoring four goals. In their most recent head-to-head contest, the Galaxy earned a 2-2 tied with the Impact on Sept. 9, 2014, on the road at Saputo Stadium. Montreal will have Designated Player Didier Drogba available for selection after the forward scored a hat trick in his first MLS start during a 4-3 win over the Chicago Fire at Saputo Stadium.

LA continues to lead Major League Soccer in scoring this year with 49 on the season. The Galaxy are 8-0-0 in their last eight matches at StubHub Center in all competitions. In the last eight matches (six MLS, two CONCACAF Champions League) at StubHub Center, the Galaxy have now scored 37 goals overall and allowed just six for a +31 goal differential. This season at home in MLS play, the Galaxy are now 11-1-2 at StubHub Center, with 36 goals scored and nine allowed for a +27 goal differential.

LA enter Saturday’s match following a bye week from MLS play. In their most recent outing, the Galaxy fell to the San Jose Earthquakes 1-0 on the road at Avaya Stadium on Aug. 31. LA remain atop Western Conference and MLS Supporters’ Shield standings with 46 points on the season.
