The Galaxy will honor Jones, Cienfuegos and Hamilton at StubHub Center in a special ceremony prior to the Galaxy’s match against D.C. United. During the ceremony, the Galaxy will unveil the Ring of Honor at StubHub Center, showing a permanent recognition to each individual for their contributions to the club through dedicated signage inside the stadium.

The LA Galaxy Ring of Honor will induct at least one new member at the start of each season over the next five seasons. Ring of Honor members will have exemplified the winning tradition of the LA Galaxy, the club’s commitment to the city of Los Angeles and the charge to grow the game of soccer in Los Angeles and Southern California. Each inductee will have been retired from MLS for at least three seasons.

Following the initial five-year period of inductees, the LA Galaxy will add players into the club’s Ring of Honor based on timing and merit, as to be determined by the President of the LA Galaxy and a small advisory council including former players, staff and supporters.

Jones is the Galaxy’s all-time leader in games played (306), games started (281), and minutes (25,157). He scored 70 goals for the Galaxy, the second most in club history, in addition to leading the club to MLS Cup victories in 2002 and 2005.

Cienfuegos was a member of the Galaxy from 1996-2003, making 206 appearances (fourth-most in Galaxy history) with 80 assists (third-most in Galaxy history) and 35 goals (fifth most in Galaxy history). He helped lead the club to the 2002 MLS Cup trophy.

Hamilton was the President and General Manager of the LA Galaxy during two MLS Cup championships (2002, 2005), and was named MLS Soccer Executive of the Year three-straight seasons (2003-2005). In 2006, the MLS renamed the award the Doug Hamilton Executive of the Year award to honor his success and commitment during his time with the Galaxy. Hamilton passed away in March of 2006.
