CARSON, Calif. -- The LA Galaxy slid down the MLS Power Rankings after their defeat to Vancouver Whitecaps FC last weekend.

The Galaxy are now 1-0-3 in four matches this season.

The rankings and explanations can be found below:

ESPN FC: 16th (-3)

"The Galaxy have started slow before, but this year is different with Bruce Arena out of the picture. The alarm bells are ringing following a 4-2 defeat to the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday."

MLSsoccer.com: 19th (-5)

"They're just starting to get healthy with the returns of Ashley Cole and Gyasi Zardes, but we have yet to see the best from Giovani dos Santos, Jermaine Jones and Joao Pedro."

SI.com: 21st (-5)

"It's unclear what got into Galaxy goalkeeper Clement Diop, but his, ahem, adventurous goalkeeping was a big reason the Galaxy lost their third game of the season, 4–2 at  Vancouver. It wasn’t just Diop, of course. The entire LA defense looked out of sorts in this game, especially after taking a 2–1 lead thanks to two goals from new DP Romain Alessandrini. The Galaxy now have a lower PPG than Minnesota United. None of this is a good look for MLS’s most decorated team."
