  • Jonathan Klinsmann, who makes his first MLS regular-season start since playing 90 minutes against Minnesota United FC on Sept. 18, 2021, gets his second appearance of the 2023 campaign. 
  • Calegari makes his LA Galaxy and MLS debut in the match against Portland. Calegari, a U22 Initiative signing, joined the Galaxy on loan from Fluminense FC on Feb. 27, 2023
  • Martín Cáceres makes his fourth start of the season for the Galaxy. Cáceres appeared in his fourth World Cup (2010, 2014, 2018, 2022) for Uruguay at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. 
  • Making his third consecutive start for the Galaxy is 19-year-old Homegrown defender Jalen Neal, who leads the team in blocks (5) and ranks second on the Galaxy in clearances (10) and interceptions (3). 
  • Raheem Edwards, who tallied one goal and seven assists in 35 games played (32 starts) across all competitions in his first season in LA last season, starts at left back. Against Vancouver last week, Edwards finished the match with a game-high 11 duels won and 10 possessions won
  • Gastón Brugman captains the Galaxy in his fourth start of the 2023 campaign. Per Pro Football Focus, Brugman leads MLS in line-breaking passes (56) through three matches played in 2023, with Inter Miami CF’s Jean Mota (41) and the San Jose Earthquakes’ Jackson Yueill (37) ranking second and third in the league respectively. Last week against Vancouver, Brugman completed the most line-breaking passes (18) in MLS for the third matchday in a row.  
  • Designated PlayerRiqui Puig makes his fourth start of the season for LA. Puig ranks third in MLS in dribbles completed (14) this season. Against Vancouver last week, Puig completed the second-highest dribbles (7) in a single-match this season behind only Lucas Zelarayan (10) against the New York Red Bulls on March 18. 
  • Mark Delgado, fresh off becoming the 111th player in MLS history to appear in 250 regular-season matches, makes his fourth start of the 2023 campaign for the Galaxy. Delgado is the 32nd active MLS player to reach 250 career MLS appearances. 
  • Making his third start of the season for the Galaxy is Memo Rodríguez, who has recorded two assists in nine career regular-season appearances (5 starts) against the Portland Timbers. 
  • Tyler Boyd makes his second consecutive start for the Galaxy in the match against Portland. Boyd Has recorded two goals and one assist 10 appearances (6 starts) for the United States Men’s National Team since making his debut in 2019. 
  • Making his first career MLS start for the Galaxy is Preston Judd, who makes his fourth appearance of the 2023 campaign. In 58 career games played (42 starts) with LA Galaxy II (2021-22) in USL Championship play, Judd equaled a club record 30 goals scored and added six assists. The Las Vegas, Nev., native tallied 12 goals and three assists in 20 appearances (17 starts) for Los Dos during the 2022 USL Championship Regular Season.
