LA Galaxy team up with LA Regional Food bank through BackPack Program

Food Bank group

In partnership with the LA Regional Food Bank, the LA Galaxy Foundation participated in the BackPack program on Friday, providing hungry children with a backpack full of food at Augusta A. Mayo Elementary School.
LA Galaxy defender Todd Dunivant and LA Galaxy II players Lee Nishanian and Travis Bowen, along with LA Galaxy staff, were on hand as they provided food to over 200 hundred children at the school site. The BackPack Program provides backpacks with food on Fridays at 12 separate sites across the Los Angeles area to ensure that children have nutrition over the weekend.
The LA Galaxy Foundation, the non-profit arm of the LA Galaxy, is dedicated to assisting the community in which the team lives, works, and plays. LA Galaxy players, coaches, alumni and staff spend countless hours giving back to the community at local schools, hospitals, fields, and events. The Foundation continually strives to aid organizations that meet its mission of supporting and creating education, health, and soccer-related activities and programs for youth in the greater Los Angeles area.
