The LA Galaxy announced today that tickets to the 2016 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs are now on sale now to the general public. The Galaxy will begin their 2016 Audi MLS Cup Playoff run on Wednesday, Oct, 26 or Thursday, Oct. 27 in the Western Conference Knockout Round. LA Galaxy strips for the 2016 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs are now available and include tickets to every home game that the Galaxy play throughout the course of the postseason. Purchasing a strip for the MLS Audi Cup Playoffs is the only way to secure a ticket should the Galaxy host the 2016 MLS Cup at StubHub Center on Saturday, Dec. 10. Strips lock in seats for every potential home playoff game that the Galaxy may play and fans are only charged for games that are hosted at StubHub Center. The Galaxy’s playoff date and opponent will be determined following the end of the MLS Regular Season when LA host FC Dallas on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 1 p.m. PT at StubHub Center (Spectrum SportsNet, Spectrum Deportes). The Galaxy, currently in third place in the Western Conference standings with an 11-6-15 record and 48 points, would host the Knockout Round at StubHub Center on Wednesday, Oct. 26 or Thursday, Oct. 27 should the team finish in either third or fourth place in the Western Conference. The team would play the Knockout Round on the road should they finish in fifth or sixth place in the Western Conference.
Should the Galaxy advance past the Knockout Round on Wednesday, Oct. 26 or Thursday, Oct. 27, LA would host the first leg of the Western Conference Semifinals at StubHub Center on Sunday, Oct. 30.
The Galaxy have qualified for MLS Cup Playoffs in 18 of the club’s 21 seasons, earning an all-time record of 41-21-7 while winning a record five MLS Cup trophies. The Galaxy have also qualified for every MLS Cup Playoffs since 2009, marking eight-straight years.
