The LA Galaxy Under-18's ended a disappointing showing at the Gordon Jago Super Group at Dallas Cup with a 7-0 defeat against Argentine giants River Plate.
After a Rey Ortiz red card, a Galaxy hand ball led to a penalty for the Argentines and the goals began to flow for River against the undermanned LA side. With the victory, River Plate qualified for the Super Group semifinals where they'll face Mexican club C.F. Monterrey.
The Galaxy U-18's dropped their first two matches by identical results as they fell to Japanese club Ryutsu Keizai University FC and English club Everton by identical 3-0 results.
