CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy saw little movement in the MLS Power Rankings after their wild week.
The Galaxy shared the spoils with Seattle Sounders FC last Saturday as the two sides played to a scoreless draw at StubHub Center. The tie came just days after Sigi Schmid replaced Curt Onalfo as head coach of the team.

“Sigi Schmid's Galaxy debut and showdown with his old club came and went with a whimper, as neither LA nor Seattle found the net in a goalless draw.”

“It wasn’t a pretty or perfect result, but if Sigi’s first task was to stop the bleeding, a clean sheet and point isn’t the worst start to his second stint in LA. The arrival of Jonathan dos Santos certainly won’t hurt the morale, either.”

“The Galaxy made a move that had to be made, firing head coach Curt Onalfo after five straight losses and replacing him with a known, proven quantity in Schmid. A return to the Galaxy for Schmid has a nice storybook feel to it after he led the team to be an MLS power in the early 2000’s. From the looks of Saturday’s 0–0 draw at home against Seattle, there’s still plenty of work for him to do.”
