CARSON, Calif.– As part of their continued partnership with the LA Galaxy, Macy’s has provided the club with their official suits for the 2012 season. Galaxy players, coaches, staff and executives debuted the custom fitted and tailored suits, which are courtesy of Macy’s and Calvin Klein, during the club’s official visit to The White House on May 15 and will wear the suits for all formal club functions.
As an additional piece of the partnership between the Galaxy and Macy’s, Galaxy midfielder Juninho will be appearing at Macy’s South Coast Plaza on Thursday, May 31 at 6 p.m. The appearance will take place in Level 2 of the Men’s building and all Galaxy fans are welcome to come meet Juninho and get his autograph. The first 100 fans that purchase $25 or more worth of clothing on the day of event will also receive a free soccer ball for Juninho to sign. Additionally, the Galaxy Futboleros Flavored by Shasta, will be on hand to entertain the crowd and the Galaxy Street Team Driven by Chevrolet, will be giving away Galaxy prizes. The Galaxy are back in action on Saturday, May 26 when they take on the Houston Dynamo in a rematch of MLS Cup 2011. That game, which will be shown live on NBC Sports Network starting at 11:30 a.m. (PT), will be played at the newly-opened BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston. After the game, the team will fly to North Carolina for the club’s Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Third Round game against the NASL’s Carolina RailHawks, on Tuesday, May 29. LA’s first game in the Open Cup this season, it will be played at WakeMed Sports Park in Cary, N.C. and kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. (PT).
