LOS ANGELES (November 2, 2026) – MLS announced today that LA Galaxy midfielder Marco Reus has been named to the Team of the Matchday for Matchday 34 following his three-assist performance in the club’s 4-1 victory over Western Conference side Austin FC in the Galaxy’s regular season home finale at Dignity Health Sports Park. In addition, 19-year-old LA Galaxy Homegrown Harbor Miller has been named to the bench. The honor is Reus’ sixth of the season and the 12th of his MLS career.
The German midfield maestro registered a club season-high three assists on the night, beginning with a lofted cross toward the back post to set up teammate Hirving Lozano for the eventual game-winning header in the 38th minute. Reus added his second when he played the ball across the box to Robert Taylor three minutes into the second half. The Dortmund native’s third of the day set up Sergi Roberto for his first Galaxy goal in the 66th minute to cap off LA’s emphatic 4-1 win.
Reus has recorded an impressive 12 contributions (four goals, eight assists) over his last nine appearances for the Galaxy and leads the club with 23 contributions in league play this season overall. Notably, it was Reus’ fourth multi-contribution performance in that span.
Miller’s recognition is also well deserved as he tallied two assists of his own on the night, officially recording the first multi-contribution performance of his MLS career. His first set up João Klauss to kick things off just 10 minutes into the match, and he also played a hand in setting up Lozano shortly after. The assists were Miller’s fourth and fifth of the season in league play, and sixth in all competitions. In addition, the Fullerton, California finished the night with a 95.3% passing accuracy on 41 passes.
