Match Preview: LA Galaxy at FC Dallas | March 4, 2023 

After their 2023 MLS Opener was postponed due to inclement weather, the LA Galaxy begin the 2023 MLS Regular Season by traveling to face FC Dallas at Toyota Stadium on Saturday, March 4 (5:30 p.m. PT; MLS Season Pass). 

In 27 all-time MLS regular-season openers, the Galaxy hold a 15-8-4 record. Notably, LA is unbeaten in its last three MLS regular-season openers that have been played on the road (2-0-1), dating back to March 15, 2011. The last time the LA Galaxy began their league campaign on the road, the club earned a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over Inter Miami CF at DRV PNK Stadium on April 18, 2021. Additionally, the Galaxy are unbeaten in their last five MLS regular-season openers (4-0-1) dating back to a 2-1 win over the Portland Timbers at Dignity Health Sports Park on March 4, 2018.

Saturday’s match marks the 90th all-time meeting across all competitions between the LA Galaxy and FC Dallas, with LA leading the series 41-35-13. Against Dallas, LA holds a 35-31-13 record in league play, a 2-1-0 record in the U.S. Open Cup and a 4-3-0 record in the MLS Cup Playoffs. The Galaxy are winless in their last six regular-season road matches played against Dallas (0-6-0), having last won at Toyota Stadium on Aug. 15, 2015.
