Los Dos will look to turn things around after a difficult three-game stint on the road. In their last match, LA Galaxy II failed to secure a result against Reno 1868 FC. The Galaxy took the lead early after Frank Lopez converted a penalty kick. The sides exchanged three more goals to enter halftime even at 2-2. But Reno notched a pair of second-half goals to earn the victory.

This weekend’s opponent has had an equally difficult June in USL Championship play, with only one point recorded in three games. Most recently, New Mexico United experienced a tough 5-1 loss against Las Vegas Lights FC on the road resulting in their second consecutive league defeat. However, New Mexico will be coming to Dignity Health Sports Park with a spring in their step thanks to a dominant performance in the 2019 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup. New Mexico has beat out two MLS teams to advance to the quarterfinals.

LA Galaxy II have shown well at home with only two losses in nine matches this season. At Dignity Health Sports Park, Los Dos have demonstrated their potential to be high goal-scoring team with 17 of their 24 goals recorded at home. They will look to continue this trend against a visiting side that has conceded eight goals in their last two USL Championship matches.

Los Dos will also host Cozmo's Sweet 16 Birthday Party as they take on New Mexico. Cozmo’s best mascot friends will be on hand to help him celebrate the big day, including Chuck (LA Clippers), Teddy (California State University Dominguez Hills), Stryker (Ontario Fury) and Bailey (LA Kings). All mascots will be present when the gates open at 6:00 p.m. PT for a pre-game photo session. As part of the birthday festivities, LA Galaxy II, the LA Galaxy Foundation and the birthday boy, Cozmo, will host a toy drive to benefit A Place Called Home. Fans are encouraged to bring new toys to the match.
