The LA Galaxy continue their 2022 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup campaign by playing host to LAFC at Dignity Health Sports Park on Wednesday, May 25 (7:30 p.m. PT; ESPN+), before returning to league play to face off against Austin FC at Dignity Health Sports Park, in a match presented by Sherwin-Williams as part of Pride Night, on Sunday, May 29 (3:00 p.m. PT; UniMás, TUDN).
Sunday’s MLS regular-season match between the Galaxy (6-5-2, 20 points) and Austin FC (7-3-3, 24 points) marks the fourth all-time regular-season meeting between LA and Austin, with the Galaxy leading the series 2-1-0. In the first meeting between the two clubs at Dignity Health Sports Park, the Galaxy earned a 2-0 win on May 15, 2021.The last time the Galaxy and Austin FC squared off, LA came away with a 1-0 shutout victory at Q2 Stadium on May 8, 2022.
