Three days later, the Galaxy continue their 2022 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup campaign by playing host to USL Championship side Sacramento Republic FC in the Quarterfinals of the competition on Tuesday, June 21 (7:30 p.m. PT; ESPN+).
Saturday’s match marks the 31st MLS regular-season meeting between LA and Portland, with the Galaxy leading the series 13-11-6. In their last three matches played against the Timbers dating back to July 30, 2021, the Galaxy hold a 3-0-0 record, outscoring Portland 9-3. In 15 regular-season matches played against the Timbers at Dignity Health Sports Park, LA holds a 9-3-3 record.
