The LA Galaxy closed out preseason on a high note with a 2-1 victory over Toronto FC at Dignity Health Sports Park. 

Efraín Álvarez scored first with a shot to the corner of the box in the 27th minute, assisted by Riqui Puig. Adama Diomande nearly brought the visitors level in the closing minutes of the first half, but VAR ruled no goal and the Galaxy went into halftime with the lead. 

In the second half, Mark Delgado stretched the Galaxy's lead to two with a stunner from outside the box. Ayo Akinola scored in the 90th minute to bring Toronto FC back within one, but the match would end with a 2-1 win for the home side.
