Match Report: LA Galaxy earn 2-0 victory over Atlanta United FC 

The LA Galaxy trotted out a new lineup and shut out Atlanta United FC to earn a 2-0 win at Dignity Health Sports Park on Sunday night.

New signing Gastón Brugman earned the start at defensive midfielder beside Mark Delgado and made an immediate impact with his defensive prowess. Meanwhile, the Galaxy offense got off to a hot start with Kévin Cabral scoring his first goal of the 2022 MLS season off an assist from Chicharito, with Douglas Costa notching the secondary assist.

Atlanta put the pressure on in the second half, but the Galaxy defense held strong. In the final minute of extra time, Dejan Joveljić scored his ninth goal of the season to seal the win in electric fashion.

Keeper Jonathan Bond tallied three saves in his 7th clean sheet of the season.
