Match Report: LA Galaxy II vs. Orange County SC | October 30, 2021

LOS ANGELES (Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021) – In their 2021 USL Championship regular-season finale, LA Galaxy II fell 1-0 at home to Orange County SC at Dignity Health Sports Park on Saturday night. The loss to Orange County marks the first time Los Dos have failed to qualify for the playoffs since the 2018 campaign. 

LA Galaxy II 2021 Season In Review

With the loss to Orange County, LA Galaxy II (11-15-6, 39 points) finished in sixth place in the Western Conference’s Pacific Division, missing out on qualifying for the playoffs by three points. As a team, Los Dos finished tied for sixth in the league in goals scored (55). Preston Judd finished the season as the club’s leader in goals scored (17) in 32 games played, finishing sixth in the league in that category. Jorge Hernández ranked second on the team in goals scored (12) and in assists (6) while leading the league in chances created (91). Josh Drack led the team and ranked tied for fifth in the league in assists (9). Goalkeeper Justin vom Steeg registered 74 saves and eight shutouts in 24 games played. Notably, Judd and Hernández were the only players on the Galaxy II roster to appear in every match this year.
