The LA Galaxy battled Nashville SC and came out with a 1-0 win at Dignity Health Sports Park on Saturday afternoon.

It was a defensive battle for much of the match, and though it looked like Javier "Chicharito" Hernández had scored the difference-making goal in the 53rd minute, VAR overturned the goal for a foul in the build-up.

The Galaxy were able to capitalize quickly after that. Julián Araujo's 60th minute back-post header off a precise cross from Samuel Grandsir was the difference in the gritty one-goal match. It was his first goal of the 2022 MLS season and also his first-ever goal in the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs.

The LA Galaxy move on to face LAFC in the Western Conference Semi-Finals of the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs at 7:00 p.m. at Banc of California Stadium on Thursday, October 20.

GOAL: Julián Araujo's first goal in the MLS Cup Playoffs gives LA Galaxy the lead
