CARSON, Calif. – Former D.C. United midfielder Miguel Aguilar has joined the LA Galaxy preseason this week with an opportunity to compete for a roster spot.
The 23-year-old’s rights were acquired by the Galaxy in December in a deal that saw Los Angeles send their natural fourth-round selection in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft to D.C. United. Aguilar joined camp earlier this week as a trialist in hopes of earning a place on the team’s roster.
“He’s a player that we’re looking at,” LA Galaxy head coach Curt Onalfo told LA Galaxy Insider. “He has an opportunity to potentially join our team. He’s one of our trialists right now.”
Aguilar made 23 appearances for D.C. United since being drafted in the first-round of the 2015 MLS SuperDraft by D.C. United.
